Wofoo Leaders' Network

Established in 2006, “Wofoo Leaders’ Network” (WLN) is the core project of Wofoo Social Enterprises. It is dedicated to promoting “Responsible Citizenship” and building a harmonious and caring society.

As one of the largest tertiary student platforms in Hong Kong, WLN has a total of 25 Chapters in different institutions and more than 45,000 members over the past 14 years. With a wide range of activites revolving around “leadership training”, “civic education” and “social service”, WLN enables students to achieve whole-person development. It also raises their awareness to contemporary issues and sense of belonging to the country, nurturing our youngsters to be future leaders of Hong Kong.

Social Servicing

Wofoo Leaders’ Network is dedicated to promote social servicing among the youth. Community services provide practical experience for students to learn how to deal with people from different backgrounds, and know how to contribute to the society with care and respect. Various activities have been organised over the years, including visiting the elderly, animals and patients. Since 2016, our key project “Together We Serve” has been carried out for five years consecutively and served over 2000 beneficiaries in total. In order to serve the socially disadvantaged with different needs, we launch activities with various themes each year, such as “Together We Serve” Carnival, Mobile Photographic Competition, Workshops and Service Day, enhancing teenagers’ understanding of the community and enriching their life experience.

Leadership Training

Besides social servicing, Wofoo Leaders’ Network attaches great importance to the personal growth and future development of the youths. In order to reveal their talent and enhance their personal values, ExCo members participate and organise various community services, workshops, exchange engagements and so on to develop their potential and leadership skills. Through the leadership training activities, including Joint-U High Table Dinner, “Be a Smart Entrepreneur”, W Channel, Annual Conference and Leadership Training Camp, their social skills and team spirit have been strengthened as well. In order to encourage youngsters to proactively equip themselves and strengthen their abilities, professionals and experts from a wide ranges of fields are invited to share their own experience and market trends in a series of career talks, which help young people set goals and know more about different industries and prospects.

Civic Education

Civic awareness helps build a harmonious society. Wofoo Leaders’ Network emphasises positive values and civic responsibilities, and inspires young people to analyse and judge with reasons, so as to facilitate them to deal with challenges in the future. We have held a wide range of activities, including Organ Donation promotion campaign, visit to Office of the Government of the HKSAR of the People’s Republic of China in Beijing, and visiting persons in custody. These all allow young people to understand more about their civic responsibilities. At the same time, series of events and workshops have been carried out to increase youths’ understanding of the Basic Law and the fundamental concept of “One Country, Two Systems”.
