Powered by Hang Seng Bank and co-organised by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation and Wofoo Social Enterprises, the Future Ecopreneur Programme Demo Day successfully concluded at Central Market on 26-27July 2026. The event featured 46 innovative green solutions, showcasing how youth-led teams leverage cutting-edge technology to tackle climate change and advance sustainable development.
The programme aims to drive innovation and entrepreneurship in Hong Kong’s green technology and sustainability sectors. Over the past two years, the Programme has engaged over 1,000 young people. Members of Wofoo S.I.T.E. (Social Innovation Through Entrepreneurship) served as mentors, offering one-on-one guidance that blends industry expertise with social innovation. The Programme also partnered with NGOs, arranged field visits, and integrated them into the teams, enabling participants to understand the real challenges faced by grassroots families, the elderly, and coastal communities under extreme weather—thereby nurturing an entrepreneurial spirit rooted in social missions.
The two-day event drew enthusiastic crowds of citizens and industry leaders. Youth teams shared their research journeys and practical experiences, exploring the potential of green tech in daily life and industrial applications. The public also enjoyed an interactive AI photo booth and green DIY workshops, crafting natural scent sachets and eco-friendly bath bombs to seamlessly blend technology with sustainable living.
