Wofoo Social Enterprises recently served as a trainer in the “Leadership Workshop – Youth City Changemakers” program organized by the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education, providing leadership training focused on social innovation to over 60 gifted students. Through diverse activities, the program aimed to deepen students’ understanding of community needs while fostering empathy and problem-solving skills.
The workshop, conducted in both Chinese and English, spanned three sessions and integrated design thinking with social service. Students participated in field visits to transitional housing and youth dormitories, reflecting on how innovative solutions can drive social change. They also explored their roles and responsibilities in contributing to society. In the final session, students presented their innovative prop-osals in groups, receiving valuable feedback from distinguished guests, including a Legislative Council member, and representatives from the social welfare and business sectors.
This program not only enhanced students’ awareness of community issues but also inspired them to realize their potential as “city changemakers.” By cultivating a strong foundation for active social engagement, the workshop showcased leadership qualities that embody observation, creativity, and action.
