The “Outstanding Student Citizen Awards 2025/26” organized by Wofoo Social Enterprise has been launched and the briefing session and seminar were held in November 2025
This year’s theme for the “Outstanding Citizen Student Award ” is “Becoming an Empathetic Digital Citizen.” It has attracted participation from 169 primary school students across 73 primary schools and 133 secondary school students from 46 secondary schools.
The program invited Mr. Ng, a social worker from the Hong Kong Family Welfare Society, to serve as the speaker for the primary school group, and Ms. Joyce Kong, a lecturer from the Department of Management, Marketing, and Information Systems at Hong Kong Baptist University, to serve as the speaker for the secondary school group. The seminar delved into the topic of “digital citizenship,” teaching students methods and tools for fact-checking to enhance their information literacy. The aim is to help students understand how to use information effectively and ethically, enabling them to become responsible “digital citizens” in the digital age.
