Organised by Lovin’ TY under Wofoo Community Hub, the community event first introduced My First Primary School Lesson in 2025, offering kindergarten children from the Tuen Mun and Yuen Long districts a valuable opportunity to experience a real primary school lesson.
This year, the event introduced a new addition — the “Character Building” parent-child activity series — inviting families to explore character education through experiential learning. The series was co-organised with three kindergartens from Tuen Mun and Yuen Long. On 17 January, the “Character Building through Drama” sessions, co-hosted by Sunkids Kindergarten, were successfully held at W F Joseph Lee Primary School, offering participating parents and children a memorable experience that combined learning with drama.
During the activity, Principal Man and teachers from Sunkids Kindergarten applied professional drama education techniques to integrate the core character trait of honesty into immersive role-play. Through this experience, children reflected deeply on the meaning of honesty and its importance in daily life.
Principal Poon of WFJLPS expressed heartfelt appreciation to Principal Man and the team from Sunkids Kindergarten for their thoughtful planning and dedication. She remarked, “Lovin’ TY brings together schools and organisations that value educational development. By promoting collaboration and resource sharing, it strengthens community bonds. The cultivation of good character must be a continual process that engages families, schools, and the wider community — a journey best taken hand in hand.”
