HKSGV Hosts Social Innovation Seminar in Hengqin to Explore Sustainable Opportunities in the Greater Bay Area

Hong Kong Shared Good Values (HKSGV), dedicated to promoting the philosophy of “Do Well Do Good”, hosted the Sustainable Business Series: New Opportunities for Social Innovation in Hengqin seminar and networking dinner on July 4, 2025, in collaboration with the Faculty of Business and Law at the University of Saint Joseph, Macao. The event took place at the Sanyi South Headquarters Building, gathering over 50 entrepreneurs, policymakers, and academic leaders from Hong Kong, Macao, and Hengqin.

The seminar featured keynote speakers including Mr. Huang Zhongjian, Deputy Director of the Hengqin Economic Development Bureau, Mr. Wu Di, Head of Investment Promotion, and Ms. Wang Jing, Deputy Head of Investment Promotion. They introduced key policies such as the “dual 15%” tax incentive scheme, developments in the Guangdong-Macao Co-operation Zone, and ESG funding initiatives. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including the implementation of social innovation, cross-border collaboration, carbon market development, and talent attraction.

The event also featured experience sharing by Mr. Calvin Sio, Founder of Chazence, and Mr. Ho Kuok Tou, CEO of Pachira, who showcased how social innovation can align policy advantages with market demand to create scalable and sustainable development models.

HKSGV will continue to connect leaders across government, business, civil society, and academia, driving institutional innovation and cross-sector collaboration to advance sustainable development and social impact throughout the Greater Bay Area.
