Wofoo Foundation Supports St. Joseph’s College Renovation

Date : 2026-09-16

St. Joseph’s College held a Dedication Ceremony on 28 August 2026 at the school canteen, celebrating a generous donation from Wofoo Foundation, made by our Founder, Dr. Joseph Lee, to support the school renovation. In recognition, the school is offering Dr. Lee the naming rights to the canteen. The event was attended by Brother Jeffrey Chan, incoming School Supervisor Mr. Perrick Ching (alumnus and former Principal), Principal Kwok Tik Man, Vice-Principals Mr. Sin, Mr. Szeto and Mr. Tam, and Dr. Lee’s family.

Founded in 1875, St. Joseph’s College is the first school established by the De La Salle Christian Brothers in Hong Kong, with the motto Labore et Virtute (“Work and Virtue”). In his speech, Dr. Lee, a LaSallian himself, said he was honoured to support the school and noted that “a canteen may seem simple, but it is a place of fellowship — where students share meals, ideas, and friendships.” He thanked Brother Jeffrey Chan, Principal Kwok, Mr. Ching and his family, and encouraged Josephians to remember that “true success lies not only in trophies or titles, but in the character we build and the service we render.”

A commemorative plaque bearing the Wofoo emblem and Dr. Lee’s name was unveiled, and a ceremonial cheque was presented to the Saint Joseph’s College Foundation Limited.
