“Wofoo Neighbour Hub” Visit Service – Handicraft Activities Review

Date : 2026-05-05

Wofoo Neighbour Hub (WNH)’s residential care homes and elderly centres visit service has been running for nearly a year. Looking back, it is only through the dedication and efforts of our volunteers, as well as the trust from the residential care homes and elderly centres, that we have been able to bring joy and care to the elderly.

WNH’s regular visits include handicrafts, which have always been a much-loved activity. Our volunteers carefully choose craft items suitable for the elderly’s abilities, including meadow watercolour paintings, towel dolls, lucky herbal sachets, coffee ground paintings, Pastel Nagomi Art, aromatic sachets, and twisted lucky tangerines. Through hands-on crafting, the elderly not only enjoy the process but also exercise their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. At the same time, they gain sensory stimulation, relax their minds, gradually build confidence, and reduce feelings of loneliness and boredom. Every small handicraft is an accumulation of physical and mental well-being.

WNH will continue to bring its services to more districts, hoping to bring together more caring individuals from the community to support the elderly in need, and to let kindness keep spreading.
