Wofoo Neighbour Hub(WNH) is dedicated to uniting caring individuals and groups from all sectors, bringing together collaborative strength to serve the community more effectively. We are honoured to join forces with our partners to visit the “Hong Kong Mutual Encouragement Association Jane Shu Tsao Neighbourhood Elderly Centre”, “Yuen Yuen Home for the Aged”, “Po Leung Kuk Eco-Home for the Senior and Sunny Green Day Care Centre for the Senior”, and “SAGE Tsuen Wan District Elderly Community Centre” on 4 and 7 February 2026. A total of five Chinese New Year care activities were organised to deliver festive warmth to the elderly in the district.
The five events featured a diverse range of activities. Volunteers played games and wrote New Year couplets with the elderly, bringing back the joy of the festive season. They also provided haircuts for the elderly, allowing them to welcome the new year with a fresh look. Together, they created “lucky” handicrafts symbolising prosperity and good fortune in the year ahead. New Year gift bags were presented to convey festive blessings. Volunteers also conducted home visits, offering sincere greetings and small gifts, and assisted the elderly with their New Year “spring cleaning”, ensuring they could celebrate the festival in a clean and comfortable environment.
WNH is delighted to collaborate with a group of enthusiastic individuals, including master’s students and professionals, in dedicating their time to service. On the day of the events, everyone participated with passion and wholehearted engagement, interacting with the elderly and allowing love and care to flow in every corner.
