Date : 2024-08-21

Hong Kong Shared Good Values by Wofoo Social Enterprises, in collaboration with the JCI City Lady and ESG Innovation Lab, co-organized a seminar on August 3, 2024 (Saturday) with the theme “Empowering Women in Evolving Workplace: Embracing Equity for Success.” The event invited Ms. Sarah Tam, Deputy Supervisor of the Wofoo Leadership Network Steering Committee, the winner of the “Hong Kong Professional and Elite Ladies,” Ms. Yolanda Ng, along with Ms. Terrie Fung, Ms. Rebecca Lim, and Ms. Celia Leung as guest speakers.

Discussions during the day highlighted that the key to achieving a fair workplace environment lay in the collaboration among individuals, civil organizations, businesses, and the government. It was important to recognize one’s own position to establish a personal workplace identity, overcome self-doubt, seek support actively, and build support networks both at home and in the workplace. Furthermore, the spirit of kindness should spread throughout society. Civil organizations should advocate positive thinking, while businesses and governments needed to show empathy and understand the real needs to implement corresponding measures.

The speakers also emphasized that only by acting with empathy and altruism could one find balance and fulfillment in both the workplace and life, shining a brighter light on women in the workforce. HKSGV was committed to uniting socially conscious corporate leaders. By embodying the core concept of “Do Well Do Good,” the platform aimed to drive change in the business sector and society, promoting sustainable development.
