Form Without Form: Seeking the Unseen with Fr. Joseph Tham & Wofoo

Date : 2026-06-25

“Nurturing the Heart with Art, Educating People with Culture” — In the rush of modern life, we often miss the invisible yet vital realities. Wofoo Social Enterprises and Wofoo Foundation believe that art is not merely a sensory experience, but a powerful medium for spiritual healing and dialogue.

This shared vision has fostered a profound bond between Wofoo and Fr. Joseph Tham. In 2021, Wofoo published his book, Art for God: Artworks and Spiritual Reflections, and has since continued to support his global artistic journey, including his current exhibition, Form Without Form (Da Xiang Wu Xing), in Shanghai. Fr. Tham’s works are more than a visual feast; they offer a spiritual baptism, guiding us to discover the extraordinary within the ordinary.

As Fr. Tham shares in the video, the core inspiration of this exhibition is derived from ancient Chinese philosophy—”Great Image Has No Form”. He invites the audience to explore the idea that “things that sometimes we see as real may be invisible” and “things that we think are ordinary and see every day might not be what they seem”. This exhibition serves as an exercise in “relating to realities that may not be all obvious,” challenging us to look beyond appearances and experience the true essence of life.

Wofoo has long upheld the motto “Harmony brings a family prosperity, cohesion makes a nation wealthy”. By supporting Fr. Tham’s journey, we aim to nurture character and build social capital within our community. We believe art can move us from isolation toward mutual support, reshaping our city through the strength of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty.

Walking with Hong Kong for over 25 years, Wofoo remains dedicated to building a more harmonious home through the transformative power of art and culture.
