Wofoo Social Enterprises fully supports the “ReCube Campus Reusable Tableware Rental Service” organized by the local startup ReCube Limited. Starting from Earth Day on April 22nd, the service is available at six campus restaurants of the CUHK, providing a convenient and practical one-stop solution for students and staff to rent reusable utensils.
ReCube is one of the winning teams in the CARS organized by WSE’s Hong Kong SDG Hub. As of April 18th, ReCube has already rented out reusable utensils over 6,400 times, with a punctual return rate of 98%. Currently, they collaborate with 32 on and off-campus restaurants in HK to provide services. Promoting environmental protection in a rapidly developing society like Hong Kong is never easy, and the issue of reusable takeaway utensils is both socially beneficial and challenging to implement.
WSE has consistently established diverse platforms to promote sharing, collaboration, and cooperation. By mobilizing resources from various sectors and expanding networks, they facilitate the pooling of resources and strengthen connections among different industries. They aim to cultivate and empower young entrepreneurs with the ability to implement innovative solutions while expanding the number of beneficiaries, in response to the increasingly severe climate challenges. WSE will continue to collaborate with major educational institutions and like-minded organizations to support and nurture the new generation of climate entrepreneurs, working together with young people to create a sustainable future.
