Since the start of this school year, the “Red Brick Adventure Program” organized by The Warehouse Teenage Club has attracted over 1,000 secondary school participants. The most popular War Game activity, designed by youth teams themselves, ingeniously incorporates the architectural features of Warehouse, transforming the century-old heritage site into a dynamic learning space that not only develops leadership and adaptability but also enhances teenagers’ resilience, mutual support awareness, and positive thinking.
This innovative combat game draws inspiration from the historical background of Warehouse’s former identity – the Old Aberdeen Police Station and Southern District Marine Police Headquarters. Students form teams to first complete the “Search and Find” mission, hunting for hidden supplies within the heritage buildings to test their observation and strategic thinking skills. The subsequent “Nerf Battle” sees team members assuming different roles as they navigate through the historic site – requiring precise target shooting while skillfully using tools and obstacles to cover teammates, with cheers and laughter filling the air throughout!
The program is funded by Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and Youth Development Commission. Activities are currently ongoing, and more schools are welcome to register for participation.
