To promote value education and patriotism education, Wofoo Social Enterprises organized the “Wofoo Principals’ Luncheon cum Youth Exchange Program Launching Ceremony” on 25 February 2025, with the hope of providing a platform for primary and secondary school principals and educators to have closer contact and cooperation, and to promote the professional development and exchange of the education sector.
Mr. Leung Wang Ching, Clarence, BBS, JP, Under Secy for Home and Youth Affairs of the Government of Hong Kong was invited as the officiating guest of the luncheon, and Ms. Ho Yuen Kei, Gold Medalist of Individual and Mixed Doubles of Boccia in the Paris Paralympics 2024, was the guest of honor to share her experience with more than 100 principals and vice-principals from more than 80 primary and secondary schools.
Mr. Leung Wang Ching, Clarence, BBS, JP, said, “The Home and Youth Affairs Bureau(HAB) has always been encouraging collaboration with the business sector and various sectors of the community, including schools, to help facilitate youth development. Wofoo has been a strong partner of HAB in supporting our Mainland and overseas exchange programs. I want to appeal to all school principals to encourage young people to pay attention to youth activities, and also participate in more community affairs, and download the “HKYouth+”, a one-stop integrated platform.”
Ms. Ho Yuen Kei shared, “Many people questioned my ability, but I could choose how I face the challenge. They may have seemed like boulders at the time, but when I look back, they seem like small gravel. I want to thank my family and teachers for growing up with me and encouraging me. I am grateful that I am a thankful person.”
Wofoo Social Enterprise hopes to continue to work with you to nurture the younger generation to become responsible citizens and future leaders who are “rooted in Hong Kong, mindful of the Motherland and open to the world”, to create a harmonious and affluent society together.
