The 25th Millennium Entrepreneurship Programme (MEP25), organized by the Rotary Club of Harmony and Prosperity Hong Kong and Wofoo Social Enterprises, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Uplift Actions Hong Kong and the Rotaract Club of Harmony and Prosperity Hong Kong, has attracted over 120 student teams from 51 secondary schools participated, showcasing the younger generation’s passion for innovation and sustainable development.
This year’s theme, “Towards Sustainability – Achieving SDGs with Entrepreneurship and Artificial Intelligence,” encourages students to blend creativity with AI to tackle social challenges. The opening ceremony was successfully held on 30 November 2024, with Mr. David Wong, JP, Director of the Intellectual Property Department of the HKSAR Government as our Guest of honor, last year’s champion team and guests also inspired participants by sharing their experiences.
This year, we have also introduced a new concept – MEP IP Bank, with a view to guiding students how to protect their intellectual property in this AI age. We will also help match the projects with venture capital companies, charities and NGOs, hopefully bringing the projects into action and achieving the goal of “IP for Social Good”.
We look forward to the MEP25 teams demonstrating socially responsible entrepreneurship for a sustainable future!
