W F Joseph Lee Primary School Cheerleading Team was honored to be invited by the Education Bureau to perform at the 35th Anniversary of the School Physical Fitness Award Scheme on 11th January 2025. This ceremony marked the first large-scale academic event held at the Kai Tak Sports Park since its opening, attracting over 8,000 spectators. The cheerleading team was well-prepared, delivering an energetic performance that earned them repeated applause!
The Secretary for Education, Dr Choi Yuk-lin, JP, noted that the physical fitness program cultivates a sporting atmosphere on campus and encourages students to engage in sports for their health. The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Siu Chak-yee, PDSM, PMSM, urged students to strengthen their willpower through sports and enhance their ability to face adversity. Miss Vivian Kong Man Wai, the women’s individual epee gold medalist at the Paris Olympics, also attended the event and shared her insights with the students on overcoming challenges and building mental resilience through sport, encouraging everyone to confront difficulties head-on and to never give up.
The cheerleaders take pride in being part of this event and will continue to balance their studies with physical exercise while promoting the importance of physical, mental, and spiritual health.
