“Wofoo Neighbour Hub” was delighted to partner with “Evergreen (Tsz Ching) Nursing Home cum Day Care Centre” earlier to launch the first nursing home visit, which to bring joy and care to the elderly.
We collaborated with the experienced Mission Healthy Greens’ volunteer team during this event to organize a “Sachet-Making Workshop.” On the day, volunteers first led the elderly through finger exercises, then patiently guided them in crafting sachets filled with natural herbs. These fragrant sachets help refresh the mind of the elderly. The active participation and heartfelt interactions between the elderly and volunteers created a warm and fulfilling atmosphere.
Current and upcoming volunteer initiatives under “Wofoo Neighbour Hub” include “Elderly care and visitation services”, “Activities at care homes/centers” (e.g., handicraft workshops, light exercises, and interactive games), “Volunteer haircut services”, and “Household decluttering and cleaning services”.
Our services currently focus on Tsuen Wan, Sham Shui Po, and Wong Tai Sin districts. We hope to unite more like-minded individuals in the future to support the community and promote the spirit of neighborhood mutual aid and camaraderie.
