This program is organized by the Wofoo Social Enterprise and Wellness Hub, sponsored by the Lee Kum Kee Family Foundation. The program’s content is co-designed by expressive arts therapists and nutritionists, aiming to provide parents of primary school and kindergarten children with various methods and skills to communicate better with their children. The program focuses on a “Parent-Child Kitchen” theme, guiding participants through a simulated supermarket experience where they select and prepare food, learning correct nutritional knowledge and effective communication techniques. This not only enhances parent-child relationships but also helps establish proper dietary understanding.
In two workshop sessions, parents interacted with their children lovingly and engagingly. Some parents shared that they were able to see a different side of their children during the activity, and everyone enjoyed the experience. After the event, participants received a teaching package designed by the nutritionist and expressive arts therapist. The package includes a menu design “Language of Love” magnetic board, a Parent-Child Kitchen Guide, an ingredient pack, an insulated bag, parent-child aprons, and healthy kitchenware. The goal is for participants to continue nurturing their parent-child relationships and promoting balanced nutrition in their diets at home.
