The Awards Ceremony of the “Outstanding Student Citizen Awards Scheme 2025/26”, organised by Wofoo Social Enterprises, was successfully held on 4 July 2026. Under the annual theme “Becoming an Empathetic Digital Citizen”, the Scheme attracted 308 upper primary and secondary school students from 102 schools. Ten primary school students and ten secondary school students were selected as this year’s “Best 10 Award of Wofoo HK Student Civic Ambassadors”.
With the support of the General Education Office of Hong Kong Baptist University, students explored the meaning of digital citizenship through thematic talks, workshops and an interactive forum theatre conducted by speakers from the Hong Kong Family Welfare Society and Hong Kong Baptist University. They learnt about fact-checking, information literacy, the prevention of and response to cyberbullying, as well as the legal, social and ethical issues related to artificial intelligence. The activities also promoted the core civic values of care, integrity, respect, responsibility and inclusiveness.
The Awards Ceremony was officiated by Mr Siu Chak-yee, Raymond, GBS, PDSM, PMSM, JP, former Commissioner of Police. Wofoo Social Enterprises will continue to work closely with primary and secondary schools through the Wofoo Youth Network to nurture more empathetic, responsible and caring young citizens, bringing positive energy to the community.
