Wofoo Social Enterprises Limited received funding from Labour and Welfare Bureau to implement 3 years CIIF funded-project “Community Empowerment Project – Social Changer” in Sham Shui Po and Tsuen Wan. The aim of this project is to promote individuals or groups in community to become “leader”, promote the spirit of mutual help, build together cross-sectoral collaborative platforms and social support networks to contribute to the welfare and benefits for underprivileged family and elderly, and integrate people from different social strata, sectors or groups, leading to a more caring and harmonious society.
In this episode, our community KOL visits a small shop in Sham Shui Po filled with historical memories and warmth – Lau Sam Kee Noodle, to interview its owner, Cheung Gor. As the third-generation owner of Lau Sam Kee, Cheung Gor grew up in Sham Shui Po and has a deep affection for the community. He often collaborates with other organizations to hold community volunteer activities and, during the pandemic, distributed supplies to local elderly residents and families in need, offering warm care.
