Date : 2024-09-09

“Thinking Beyond ICH” is a Partnership Project under the ICH Funding Scheme 2022, organized by Leisure and Cultural Services Department and Intangible Cultural Heritage Office, curated by The Warehouse Teenage Club. The program aims to nurture local tertiary students to become “Creative ICH Student Leaders,” facilitating them to understand and learn about Hong Kong’s intangible cultural heritage items, as well as to participate in curating various cultural programmes on trasmitting and promoting the ICH items of Hong Kong.

Over 20 “Creative ICH Student Leaders” from different institutions and disciplines went through two phases, “Learning about ICH” and “ICH Internship” from March to August 2024. Their showcases, titled “The Fisherman’s Tales,” covers 10 intangible cultural heritage projects related to local fishermen and was exhibited at Times Square in Causeway Bay and The Warehouse Teenage Club in August, attracting over 20,000 visitors. The completion of the program was made possible with the assistance of various ICH bearers and related organizations, and the completion ceremony was successfully held on August 25.
