“Round-the-Island Trail” on Hong Kong Island will be completed by connecting the waterfront promenades on the northern shore of Hong Kong Island and several existing promenades and countryside walking trails in the Southern District.
“Creative Photography Workshop”, organised by and Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) and planned by The Warehouse Teenage Club, was successfully held on 26 June 2024 to promote the “Round-the-Island Trail”.
Kevin Leung, a professional photographer, was invited to teach a group of young people photography skills and visit scenic spots along the trail, including Murray House and Blake Pier at Stanley as well as Tai Tam Tuj Reservoir. The young participants creatively captured the beauty of the spots by applying what they had learned such as composition and lighting. At the end of the workshop, they shared their photos among each other and enjoyed the photo slideshow together.
Photos will be selected to showcase to the public at Warehouse Youth Creative and Culture Festival 2024 to promote “Round-the-Island Trail”. Wofoo will continue to encourage young people to learn to appreciate natural and urban landscapes of Hong Kong and care about the city and community.
